What is our MISSION?

The Vineyard in Muscatine, Iowa, exists to Glorify God in all we do, it is our highest value and inspires all our behaviors. (John 15:8)

"This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples."

What is our Vision?

Our Vision statement is taken from John 15:5

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."
 
We commonly refer to it as: "He is the Vine, We are the Branches, that we Bear Much Fruit!"

Our core values are expressed in the letters of the word BRANCHES...

Body of Believers: We believe that Jesus is our Head & the Holy Spirit our counselor. We seek to be responsive to the leading of the Holy Spirit in every area of our lives.

We value Relationships: We don't want just a group of people who meet in a building each Sunday morning.  God is looking for a people who share a value system. Connecting wtih God and each other happens in the context of relationships, not in isolation.

We value Accountability by Grace:  Not a list of "do-nots" but being truthful and open about our lives and being able to grow in grace because of that honesty.

We value Nurturing:  Helping each other grow.

We value Christ-Centeredness:  Jesus is our head and all we do revolves around that premise.

We value Healing: We believe God heals today and everyday. It is His will that all be healed, however, we acknowledge that this healing happens in various ways and circumstances, eventually leading to a completely restored relationship with Him in Heaven.

We value Evangelism:  Whether it's through missions trips or just outreach to our own community through work relationships or events, we realize the church extends far outside the walls of the church building.  We want to use whatever means possible to reach out to the community to reach them in very real, tangible ways.

We value being led by the Spirit of God: We seek to be completely truthful, consistent and open in relationships with God, with others, and with ourselves.
