Showing God's Love in a Practical Way

Picture
We believe it should come naturally to share the love of God with those around you.  We also think it should be done using something very practical.  Something people will use.

Like money.

We have been using cards just like the pic above with quarters taped on the backside.  These cards are then placed in the driver's side window reading "Your next parking meter fee is on us."  Now who wouldn't want that?

Parking meter outreach days for 2012 are:
Fridays in July at 10 am
Thursdays in September at 4 pm

Servant Evangelism.

Servant evangelism is simply doing small acts with great love.  It's not our idea, we borrowed it from Steve Sjogren's Vineyard church in Cincinnati, Ohio.  But it is effective in every community where people put it into action.

  • Finding a need.
  • Meeting it.
  • Expecting nothing in return

 Family fun carnival
July 14

 * River Center (former Boat Club on the Mississippi)
 * Food, fun, music, games, bouncy houses and more

The planning meeting was a huge success.  We had more than 20 people show up and sign up to share in reaching out to our community.

Many have signed up to help and the listing of where help is still needed is posted on the page "Outreach Project."   If you want to help, go to that page, check out the items needed, and click here to use the "Contact Form" or email to tell us where you will help.   Thank you.
