We have the best time in Kids Church.
The children are divided into groups: 1) Infant, 2) Baby Toddler, 3) Pre-K and 4) Kids church (up to third grade)
The children are dismissed from the service just prior to the message. For about 30 minutes they have a time of music, a short age-appropriate teaching on God's love, and about 15 minutes of time to play together.
They are closely watched by parents and grandparents who care about teaching your kids about basics such as playing well together, listening and being kind. It's a fun place for kids to thrive.
Our Preschool class uses short video teaching of bible stories followed by activities to help the kids remember the bible truths they have been taught.
Kids Church uses all of the senses to teach classes. Our lessons are hands-on and include science experiments which back the Word of God, Bible-story themed snacks, and teaching on missions.
The Vineyard is comprised of a variety of ages. Approximately 35% of our church is under the age of 18.
We think kids need to understand how much God loves them.
Truthfully, they probably don't get that listening to sermons. Today's kids need interaction. They need to be able to ask questions. They need one-on-one time with adults who really care for them.
We encourage our youth group kids (grades 7 and older) to attend a small group designed with their needs in mind. The class meets during the message portion of our services (they are dismissed after worship and communion.) We have some wonderful teachers who help them find the answers to some very difficult questions.
In addition, we have several large group activities such as concerts, lock ins and video gaming days throughout the year. Events will be posted on this page as well as Face Book.
It's a "What We Believe" class for kids.
The class is for everyone in fourth through sixth grades.
This three-year curriculum uses a four- to six- minute video teaching which emphasizes the real problems kids face daily. Following the teaching we have discussion, games and activities which drive the Biblical truth of the day home with the kids.
Kids are often thrown from Kids Church into the mix of the adult congregation with no idea what communion, baptism and other liturgical symbolism means. This class changes that confusion.
We meet every Sunday during the message portion of the service. Class is located in the lower level cafe'.
