Nursery
We have a special place in our hearts for babies...
Our nursery is designed with your special little one in mind. We enjoy playing, music and spending time with your child. Our nursery is staffed with loving parents and grandparents whose goal it is to make the nursery a fun and inviting place to be.
Not sure about leaving your child with someone new? That's ok. We understand. We're parents, too. There is a room at the back of the worship center we call the "Whine-ry" (We're a Vineyard, so....) This is a cozy little room for you to rock or spend some private time with your baby.

Toddlers, Preschool and Kids Church
We believe kids should learn about God's love for us in very real ways.
For toddlers, we have a room full of fun ways to play and learn about sharing and playing well with others. This brightly-decorated room is a place where children enjoy coming week after week. We encourage fun interaction, Bible stories and kid-tailored worship.
The older children have a time of worship, Bible stories and hands-on activities drive home the truths of God's word. The Winter 2012 theme is "We work as a team" and emphasizes the concept that the church and families should work together in unison to accomplish more.
Minute-to-win-it games, science experiments, and object lessons are used as added emphasis to bring the truths of God's word home to your child.
Kids Church is for five-year olds through the third grade.

Branching Out
One of the problems we have noticed in today's churches is that adults expect children to attend Kids Church or Sunday School until a certain age, then "graduate" to the adult service and somehow fit in.
Let's face it, there are a lot of things Sunday School and Kids Church don't teach kids about what it means to worship. For this reason, we have developed "Branching Out."
Branching Out is comparable to a mainline denomination "catechism" or "confirmation" class. It simply is designed to teach kids the Core Values of the Vineyard Church. It is a "What We Believe" class for kids. We teach the basics of communion, worship, baptism, servanthood, the Apostle's Creed, missions and how to pray. We have a yearly servanthood mission within the community of Muscatine.
The Branching Out course is a three-year course which repeats and kids may join at any time. The class meets in the lower level cafe' on the third Sunday of each month during the message portion of the service.
Kids who are in fourth grade or older are invited to participate. At this writing, we have fourth through ninth grade students involved.
