Since this is the week of the Super Bowl, it seemed fitting that there be something on here that had to do with the sport.  Specifically, that Broncos QB, Tim Tebow.   Now I don't live under a rock.  I realize the Broncos aren't going to be playing in the game.  (Neither are my Packers.... sigh.)   The Giants and Patriots will be the teams taking the field... but... yeah, well, I don't care.

It might as well be said that I really don't pay much attention to Mr. Tebow on the field.  Like I said... I cheer for the Packers.  What does interest me, however, is the action just off the field when the Broncos no longer are playing.  The action that has come to be called "Tebowing."   Television shows are now mocking it, talk show hosts are making fun, sports analysts are condemning it.

Let's go back a few years.    Ok, a lot of years.   When I was a young girl, there was a guy who seemed to show up at every NFL game that had a TV camera.  You have seen his work.  He was the guy with the enormous JOHN 3:16 sign that hung over the edge of the stands.  A shot of it was taken every game and sent to every television in America.  And no one said much about it.

I'm sure there was an impact of some kind made by John 3:16 guy.  There was even a song written about it a few years back.  We certainly have to give the guy an "A" for effort.

But Tim Tebow???  He's making quite the impact.  Maybe it's because his action has more to do with just words.  There's  a lot of meaning behind his actions.  He doesn't care who is looking.  And he doesn't ask the camera guy to follow him to the sidelines to watch him have a few moments with his Lord.  When he is on his knees, it is just him and Him.  The 65,000 or so in the stands don't seem to matter to him much at that moment.

I applaud Tim Tebow for not caving in to the pressures of the media.  I am so happy he hasn't changed who he is because of the adverse comments he receives even now... weeks after the Broncos season has ended.

I know that the Bible says that anyone who denies Jesus before men, then Jesus will deny him before God.  (Matthew 10:33)  I'm thinking Tim's reward for his faithfulness is going to be great.  Imagine Jesus standing before God and introducing Tim to God.   "This is one of the faithful..."

Now how could any Super Bowl be better than that?
