Shamrock Shakes.  Now there's a sure sign of spring if I ever saw one.   Forget about the first robin.

The signs of spring are everywhere.  I received some beautiful pink tulips for Valentine's Day from my grandchildren.  Seed packets are sprouting up in stores.  Garden gloves are next to the checkout at the hardware store.  My crocuses are... croaking.

Spring is just a few more weeks away... woot, woot!

I'm not really a winter-kind-of-woman.  Nah.  I'm more of a 76 to 80 degree-weather- little-rain-lots-of-sunshine kind of person.  Just not sure where that is exactly.

Signs.  Matthew wrote in his record of Jesus' time on earth that Jesus spoke about signs.  Signs like a fig tree budding.  Signs having to do with what's going on in the world.  Wars.  Rumors about more wars.  People who are in power.

I wish He had been a little more explicit in His descriptions.  Like.... when???   Exactly?

Ahhh... that's how Jesus was on earth.  He gives you enough to make you pay attention, but then He expects people to just get their lives right and live the way they should.  Because you just never know when it's all going to happen.

We have symbolism... when you see the fig tree starting to become tender and bloom you know summer is coming.  You don't have to be a scholar to figure out what that means.

But we have to live as though we are expecting Jesus to come back any day.  Every day.  For all of our days.

We never know when Jesus is going to come back and pick us up to take us Home.

We're just expected to live as though it may be today.

While I'm waiting... I think I'll have a Shamrock Shake.
